Product Description

A compact bamboo which makes a dense screen in the border or a great architectural stand alone plant in a container. Bamboo creates upright interest with its green stems which fade to gold as they mature. Its delicate paper thin leaves rustle in the summer breeze making a dappled shade area whilst its robust stems sway in the wind without any damage too. Fargesia rufa is not a big bamboo but will eventually grow into a good size plant which can be restricted by growing in a container or allowed to make a decent screening plant in the garden too. Wonderful upright plant reaching up to 3m high & 1.5 m wide in 15-20 years this evergreen erect shrub is clothed with light green leaves. Supplied as a 2 litre pot grown plant Approx. 30cm tall above pot & packaged in a cardboard box. Open immediately upon receipt standing the plant on a saucer & water well leaving to soak & recover from its journey overnight. Supplied with care leaflet.
